WEBINAR Thermo Fisher Scientific: Using XPS to help design high-performance textiles

Date: 28. 5. 2024
Time: 14:00 - 15:00 SELČ
More information: here

Advances in treatments of textiles have expanded their use to an ever-increasing range of applications. From simple coatings to impart water-repellence and stain resistance to advanced nanoparticle treatments to add anti-microbial capabilities, surface modification can have a significant impact on textile performance. Understanding the efficacy of these approaches requires surface chemical characterisation, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) is an excellent technique to achieve this.

Attend the webinar to learn more about:

  • What is XPS and how does it work?
  • How XPS can be used to investigate textile samples.
  • How XPS can be correlated with other techniques to characterise high-performance textiles.
